1. Requirements for Signing Up

How do I sign up for VOIP service?

  • Jenkins Communications, LLC is currently taking pre-subscriptions for our new VOIP Service.  The first 100 pre-subscribers will receive the first month of service at half off, so Click Here to pre-subscribe for VOIP Service now!

What system or broadband access requirements are there?

  • Any Jenkins Communications, LLC subscriber can sign up for the service today.  VOIP rides upon your existing broadband connection.  Voice calls and fax calls are supported!  Also, if you have high-speed Internet (cable or DSL modem) you can use VOIP as well!  Simply Click Here and follow the instructions for signing up! 

Is there any additional equipment I will need to use the service?

  • Yes, you will be provided with an analog telephone adapter (ATA) by Jenkins Communications, LLC that will be necessary in order for you to access your VOIP service.  You can use your existing analog telephone – it works just like the local telephone service you have today…only better!

When will Jenkins Communications, LLC have my area code available?

  • You can get a phone number in any of our available area codes.  However, if we don't have a specific area code available, you can still start saving with VOIP plan today, and when your area code becomes available, we'll switch your phone number at no charge!  Click Here if you'd like us to e-mail a notification to you when your area code becomes available.

Can I dial 911?

  • Jenkins Communications, LLC does not support 911 at this time but has plans to support 911 calls at a future date. We will update our customers and the website when this service is available.

Can I dial 411?

  • VOIP subscribers can dial 411 for information services. Each 411 call is billed at $1.00 per instance.

Will the service work over my existing in-home wiring?
(Can I have all my telephone jacks in the house configured for this service?)

  • It is not recommended that you plug your ATA device into your existing home telecom wiring. Some people have done this, after disconnecting the phone company from their house from the outside box. This is not recommended by the manufacturer of our ATA and any damage caused by this type of installation will not be covered by warranty. We suggest that you seek advice from an electrician or someone who is familiar with internal telephone wiring on how to best connect it to your current wiring to take advantage of multiple extensions. Be advised that any damage resulting from practices contrary to manufacturer's recommendations for the ATA device will not be covered by warranty.

  • With VOIP service, you get the most popular features and the ability to manage them using your web account!  If you're accustomed to accessing your features via star codes, you can also continue to use those with the VOIP service.
  • Residential, small office, home office, small business can all use VOIP and enhanced voice services!

Can I keep my existing phone number?

  • You may like your phone number, but want to fire your phone company. In the past, you would have had to get a different phone number each time you changed phone companies, but with recent legislation, there's a very good chance that you can keep your existing phone number when you switch to Jenkins Communications, LLC.

3. Billing & Account Management

When do I get charged for service?

  • You will be charged monthly for VOIP service, just as you are for Jenkins Communications, LLC 's high-speed Internet service.  Monthly service is paid in advance while additional charges - long distance and one time charges (411 information service, etc.) are billed the following month.

How do I get charged for my service?

  • You will receive a bill for VOIP service.  You can also check your bill at any time by viewing your activity in your web account.
